NCTV Hosts FREE Filmmaking Workshops

FREE Workshop on Sunday 10/9/25, 9:30 a.m.! Join NCTV for a free filmmaking intensive, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of storytelling for the screen, the language of film, and the essential principles of camera operation. The workshop will cover everything from the basic types of stories to the weird rules that make film work. Even if you already know how to write a script and are familiar with the filmmaking process, this intensive will give you a new perspective on film, and you’ll come away with a better understanding of just how the movies you watch in theatres do everything they do. You’ll also get the chance to try out acting, directing, and shooting footage on a film camera yourself. The workshop will be taught by local filmmakers and NCTV Staff members, JohnCarl McGrady, Samuel Hofford, and Maisie Meehan.
