NCTV Hosts FREE Filmmaking Workshops

FREE Workshop on Sunday 12/14/25, 9:30 a.m.! Thank you to those of you who came out for our second free filmmaking workshop. If you want more, or if you missed our last workshop and still want to join us for this unique educational opportunity, we have one more free workshop planned for this year - and this time we'll be getting hands-on. Last Sunday, we learned a lot about how sight works in film and how to break down a script for the screen. Next time, we're going to delve into acting and directing, two of the most important components of any film. If you attended either of our first two classes, this is a great way to continue to build your skills and broaden your understanding of film beyond just the language of the camera. But if you didn't make it to one of our earlier workshops, this lesson stands on its own and can still provide you with a strong foundation if you are interested in filmmaking - or just want to understand the movies you watch a little better. And if you want to make a short for the 2026 Nantucket Shorts Festival, there is no better place to start.
