Our Mission
To celebrate and encourage filmmaking on Nantucket by organizing and executing an annual Nantucket Shorts Festival.
Our Story
Inspired by Nantucket. Made on Nantucket. For Nantucket.
Celebrating Local Filmmaking and Community Arts since 2013. The Nantucket Shorts Festival celebrates short-form movies that are 2 to 10 minutes long and inspired by Nantucket.
This isn’t just any film festival—it’s an NCTV’s signature event!
Your local television station and media arts center brings you a night to remember, filled with creative storytelling and community spirit.
Our festival was founded in 2013 by five local Nantucket artists interested in creating a community of support and a forum for amateur and professional filmmakers to present their work. The event's unique format allows both experienced and amateur filmmakers to be selected to present their art on the big screen at the Dreamland Theater in an entertaining evening unlike any other. A jury screens each submitted film and selects the top films to appear at the festival.
